Science Lessons

This day will provide an opportunity for IU #13 district CFF coaches and science teachers to collaborate in the creation of engaging, technology-infused lessons for their specific subject areas. Teachers will come prepared to create two lessons (which will include plans, resources & assessments) with colleagues of the same subject areas from districts across the IU 13. They should be prepared to share resources, contribute ideas, and publish their final product to the global community.


Tentative Agenda:

  • 8:00 - 8:30: Registration & Coffee
  • 8:30 – 9:00: Overview and directions for day - Introduction and Overview of Day with Expectations (Rules to Remember)
  • 9:00-9:15: Break into subject area groups - Biology, Chemistry, General Science, Physics, Earth & Space Science
  • 9:15 - 11:15: Session One - sharing of current ideas & classroom lessons and tech resources to determine lesson topics
  • 11:15 - 12:00: Collaborative Lunch
  • 12:00 - 2:15: Session Two
  • 2:30 - 3:00 Wrap up - Sharing of 1 lesson that was created (3 min max) - publish lessons on wiki


$25 per person (covers continental breakfast, lunch, and materials.)


All sessions will be held at the IU 13 complex on New Holland Pike

During the registration process, teachers will list topics of interest they would like to develop. They will also list any topics they have already created and would be willing to share. Topics of Interest.
